Ladies Weekend 2015

Our next weekend is planned for 17 – 19 April 2015. Click below to download brochure and booking form.

We are so pleased that Sharon Parker has agreed to be the speaker at our women’s weekend this year! In her talks she will be opening up the book of Philippians under the title ‘Christ Centred Community’. We also welcome Sharon’s friend Hilary Foye and we are looking forward to the worship times under her leadership.

Sharon juggles all kinds of roles in her very busy life. She is a wife, mother, drama teacher and part-time church volunteer at Hope Church Hillsborough, who has three important men in her life: Keith, her husband of 16 years and her two sons Joel (11) and Daniel (9). After the Lord and her family, her next love is local church ministry. Having spent several years training part time at the Irish Baptist College, where she obtained a master’s of theology, she has discovered a great passion for Bible teaching, discipleship, family ministry and developing effective church leadership structures to enable members of the local Body to function in their calling.

Hilary, a former Belfast Bible college student and missionary kid who spent her early years in Ivory Coast, West Africa, has just recently completed her PhD in the anthropology of Christianity at Queen’s University Belfast and is currently involved in teaching music, theology and anthropology in a number of different contexts. Hilary has been married to Bill, an Elim pastor, for six years, and is fully involved in the life of Hope Church, Hillsborough. Her passions include developing holistic women’s ministry within the local church, facilitating vibrant congregational worship that inspires heartfelt response and long term pastoral care and discipleship of individuals.
